On Thursday August 14, 2014, His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta, made new ambassadorial appointments. Among others appointments, he named Mr. Joseph Magutt as Kenya’s new ambassador to Germany. He will also be incharge of Bulgaria, and Romania.

Upon research, Sautiafrica has established that Mr Magutt has been very active in the Kenyan political scene. He is a political scientist, political science lecturer and political commentator.

He has made several appearances on  national tv, to comment on political issues in Kenya. See one of his appearances below

He is also not new to diaspora issues. He was author of an opinion article titled: ‘Some demands by Kenyans abroad ridiculous, patronising and illogical.‘  which featured in the Daily Nation back 2012  and  partly stirred controversy especially with the Kenyan Diaspora.( Click on the highlighted title to read article.)

Sautiafrica has no information as yet of when Mr. Magutt will report to his new work station, but will definitely keep you informed on any new development.

Meanwhile Sautiafrica would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mr.Magutt to Berlin. We wish him a successful stay in Germany.

We would like to wish the outgoing Ambassador H.E. Mr. Ken Osinde all the best as he and his family move to a new station. H.E. Mr. Osinde will be greatly missed by many Kenyans in Germany especially for his down to earth and approachable nature.
